How Engineering Students benefit from using the TI89 “Made Easy” Apps

Friday, January 29th, 2016

The TI89s Made Easy APP’s make simple tasks such as chemical reactions or 2nd order Differentials a lot less time consuming.

As a Bio-Materials Engineer I use the Thermo and Physics and Chemistry MADE EASY apps , they will provide you with the correct answers.

Sometimes having re-assurance on exams makes all the difference in the world between in a 3.25 and 4.0 GPA.

By utilizing these APP’s there is no doubt. When I hand in my exams I know I haven’t left anything on the table, forgot my units on a problem or misplaced a decimal. I know for sure my answers are correct.

This will also be the case when I walk out of an interview room, I will leave no doubt who the best candidate for the job will be.

So I consider these APP’s just as much a part of my future as the $12,000 tuition bill every semester.

So that is why they are special, to me anyway.

I think the APPs are “amazing.”

How Math Teachers and Students benefit from using the TI89s “Made Easy” Apps in After School Tutoring Program

Friday, January 29th, 2016

I first used the programs to help me review for the Praxis 601 exam. This exam is required to become a certified High School Math teacher if you did not get your degree in education.

Now that I am a teacher, I use the TI89 apps with my students in an after school tutoring program. They give me the chance to work with more students, because my upper level students can use the calculator to get step by step examples worked out for them, while I work with other students.

I love the Made Easy apps and so do my students!!!!!

They help to relieve the frustration of not knowing how to proceed with a question and most students try even harder, so they do not have to use the calculator to get the next step!
Thanks for your help!

Attention! Comprehensive Review on doing Integrals, Volume, Work, Series & ConvergenceTests using Calculus Made Easy

Monday, January 25th, 2016

My name is Tex, and I had this wonderful app for my Calculus 2 class. If you’re in that class and want to know more about what this app can do, keep reading.

Calculus 2 is broken up into three main categories: Integrals, Volume/Work related problems, and Summations.

For Integrals, this app is unlike any other I’ve used – including many iPhone apps. It’ll nearly never fail to solve an integral.
It’ll comprehensively go over every step, and it even offers some explanations and formulas on the theorems applied.

All in all, the app worked remarkably for anything to do with integrals.

With regard to Work/Volume related problems, this app, again, won’t fail you. It will solve and show steps for any volume problem you throw at it if you can figure out the line(s) and axis upon which the line(s) revolve(s) on. Work related problems are a bit trickier, but they always trickle down to a more complex Volumes problem. Since work related problems are always long word problems, of course the app won’t be able to do it all for you immediately; you must break down the problem, find the components that you need, and the app can do the rest. Easy and quick.

With regard to Summations and Series, amazingly, again, this app won’t fail you.

There isn’t a single standard Calc 2 Summation-Test this app doesn’t know. You simply enter the summation, and then you run it through several tests, and the app will tell you whether it fails or passes.

For nearly all tests, like the Geometric Series Test, Ratio Test, Root Test, Alternating Test, etc, the app will show steps to how it solved the problem. Sometimes for the Ratio/Root test, it will not give you step by step and you will have to use the “limits” step by step calculator they have on the app.

The app will tell you which test to use for convergence/divergence, and it won’t fail.

I aced both my first and second tests, and my final, because of this app- hands down.

This app even has comprehensive step-by-step solutions for Interval of Convergence problems.

There are many, many other applications on this app, but I reviewed the ones you will be using most frequently. It’s understandable if you don’t understand everything on this review,

but when you get to them, you will wish you had this app if you didn’t!

So make sure you get yourself a copy – it’s damn worth it, and pretty cheap.

The apps I have purchased from have been a tremendous help.

I would not have passed some of my math classes without the help of these apps!!!

Every single one that I have purchased has worked as advertised and I have absolutely no complaints.

Thanks to everyone who is involved in providing these extremely useful tools!

Glowing Calculus Made Easy Review

Sunday, January 17th, 2016

“I bought the calculus app for the ti-89 and ever since then, using it made calculus 1 and 2 VERY easy for my homework, assignments, projects, quizzes, and exams.

If there was any problems on trying to enter the solution on the calculator, they have a GREAT tech support waiting and most certainly willing to help you.

I want to personally thank Mike, who was a big help and instructing me step-by-step along the way on how to properly input the function into the calculator.

I would most certainly recommend this app to my friends and classmates!”

Review for the app : Statistics Made Easy

Saturday, January 9th, 2016

Stats made easy made my stats class a breeze.

I got all answers correct thanks to the stats program.

I love the program and will try to impress on others that the money is worth every penny when you can get an A in the class.

I got a 93% in my Stats class. Thank You so much again.

Now I am going to purchase three more programs, Microeconomics, Financial and Accounting, and Portfolio, this summer, next month for my major classes.

Review of the TI89 App “Equation Solver Step by Step”

Saturday, January 9th, 2016

Customer review :

The Equation Solver app is another beautiful program that I have used from made easy programs. Every problem from finding a domain to the difficult quadratic equation is spit out with step by step solutions and the correct answer.

It only takes a second to input and boom the steps and answer is displayed!!

So even if you have a hard nose teacher that wants steps you are set, like bring it on.

It gives you confidence that you are gonna get the right answer with steps.

All programs are the absolute BOMB!!!!!

Thank You Mr. Mike

How to solve the y’-x^2*y=2x^2 using Differential Equation Made Easy

Monday, January 4th, 2016

There are 2 ways to solve this Differential Equation:

1) Since it is linear in y use F1 : Linear in y
enter P=-x^2
and Q=2x^3
press Enter . Using an Integration factor will yield the answer.

2) Rewriting it as y’=2x^2+x^2*y=x^2*(2+y) shows that the method of separating the variables will work as well, That is under F1: Separation of Variable

Two different methods will yield the same correct solution.
